Dermal Fillers in Sydney – Effective Solutions For Enhancing Facial Volume and Contours

If you’re curious about dermal fillers, Sydney residents might be surprised to learn that over the last 20 years we have gradually shifted away from radical surgical procedures in favour or subtle, non-invasive facial rejuvenation. Here at Pellis Medispa we offer the most advanced injection techniques to reverse skin aging and restore facial volume, shape and contours using an arsenal of new and innovative dermal fillers.

Dermal Fillers in Sydney – delivering outstanding cosmetic results every time

Often patients will visit our Randwick Medispa on Clovelly Road hoping to target specific facial lines and wrinkles. Although we try and address these concerns as much as possible, our philosophy is to make women and men look more youthful and enhance their overall appearance by correcting facial symmetry and balance.

So how do we do that?

When we’re young our face is y-shaped or heart-shaped. It’s wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. As we age these proportions tend to reverse due to the effects of gravity and collagen decline. With a small amount of dermal filler we’re able to lift and shape the face to resemble more youthful facial proportions and volume. For example we can lift the cheeks and jawline (reducing jowls) using dermal filler for structural support. We can also fill areas such as tear troughs, temples and nasolabial folds to create smoother contours.

Whether you decide to visit us for cheek dermal fillers in Sydney or lip enhancement in Sydney you’ll be provided with a careful and honest assessment to help you get the most out of your non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure.

Dermal Fillers in Sydney – types and effects

Dermal fillers are traditionally used to restore volume and enhance facial contours. Recent innovation has allowed us to expand our range of treatment, such as replacing hard facial implants with dense fillers for chin and cheek augmentation. The best dermal fillers Sydney has to offer shine a spotlight on their superb bio-compatibility, impeccable safety record and great versatility. The following non-surgical facial enhancement procedures can be done using dermal filler:

Lip enhancement Sydney – Injectable lip dermal fillers in Sydney can be used to increase volume, change shape or projection and increase symmetry.

Cheek augmentation – Non-surgical cheek enhancement in Sydney can provide an instant lift to the cheek area to restore both facial balance and youthful facial curves.

Tear-trough rejuvenation – A common cosmetic concern is the area immediately under the eyes called the tear trough. The good news is that hollowness (and dark under-eye circles) can be treated using dermal fillers to create a smoother transition between the lower lid and cheek area.

Chin enhancement – Chin enhancement can be performed using dermal fillers and typically lasts anywhere between 6-18 months. It can also be used to augment chin shape and projection and create symmetry in the face straight on and in the profile.

Brow shaping – By skilfully and carefully injecting dermal filler below the eyebrow it can be used to soften the bony orbital rim and lift the eyebrow area. This should lead to a more youthful, softer, and refreshed appearance.

Jowl reduction – Dermal fillers can be injected in the upper and mid-face (not necessarily the jowl itself) to elevate facial structures into a more youthful position. This has a natural effect of softening jowls in addition to nasolabial folds and sometimes even marionette lines.

Many areas of the face can be restored and rejuvenated with dermal filler. Packages here in Sydney are available for lip enhancement, to reverse volume loss in sunken cheeks, folds and creases, as well as to harmonise and balance facial appearance.

Here at Pellis Medispa our experienced team of medical professionals use the highest quality range of dermal fillers from Mondeal to help you address all your skin rejuvenation concerns and goals.

Temporary dermal fillers

These cosmetic fillers contain water-binding molecules, otherwise known as hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body. They are highly biocompatible and allergic reactions are extremely rare. Our favourite brand of temporary dermal fillers here at Pellis Medispa contains antioxidants, peptides and amino acids designed to support skin tissue and cellular repair. Research also suggests that injecting water-binding molecules may in certain cases stimulate collagen production, helping to rejuvenate, plump and rehydrate the skin from within.

Products include:

High quality dermal filler
Our award-winning dermal filler produces outstanding natural results by lifting and smoothing the skin. It can be used to enhance the cheeks, chin, lips, temples, jawline and nasolabial folds.
Beauty Booster

Our Beauty Booster treatment is designed to plump and hydrate your skin for a radiant and glowing complexion. Using highly-concentrated non-crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid, combined with a patented blend of vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids, the Beauty Booster delivers outstanding results over three treatments. After each treatment (spaced three to four weeks apart), patients will notice increased hydration and luster. For long-lasting results, we recommend one maintenance treatment per year.

PRGF (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors)

Plasma Rich in Growth Factors use your body’s own regenerative growth factors to help initiate a healing response in the desired areas. As we age our own human growth factors naturally decline causing the visible signs of aging. By harvesting, concentrating and re-injecting viable growth factors into our skin we can stimulate tissue repair and rejuvenation in the treatment zone.

How does PRGF work?
PRGF makes use of platelets contained in your own blood to repair and rejuvenate your skin. During the procedure our highly skilled cosmetic injector will take a small amount of your blood (usually two vials) and process it in a centrifuge. This separates the platelet-rich plasma component from the rest of the blood.

Units of calcium are added to break down the membrane and release the platelets, making it 20 times more effective than PRP. The plasma can then be treated three ways: as a serum to apply back to the skin via Dermapen, for instance. A gel that can be used as an all natural filler, to contour and enhance, and a fibrin tissue, to rebuild.

What are the benefits?
  • Safety – the process is 100% autologous meaning it uses only natural materials from your own body
  • Versatility – it has the ability to treat and repair tissues wherever it’s administered
  • Minimal discomfort – During the PRGF process, the leukocytes are removed from the blood. These cells are responsible for triggering an inflammatory response. As a result, swelling and inflammation are greatly reduced. Furthermore, while topical numbing cream is always applied, the feedback we get is that patients generally feel no pain.
What kind of results can I expect?

Since the PRGF involves using your own tissue this treatment is 100% safe. In terms of results, patients can expect a 20% improvement in living tissue thickness within four months, resulting in a rejuvenated appearance within 16 weeks.

If you’d like to find out more about PRGF treatment or the cost of dermal fillers in Sydney then we invite you to give our experienced and friendly team a call at (02) 9159 3735 . We’re only one of three clinics in Sydney that offer PRGF treatment.

Dermal fillers aren’t the same as anti-wrinkle injections

While dermal fillers here in Sydney are designed to plump rejuvenate and rehydrate the skin, anti-wrinkle injections word by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause facial expressions. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, work by plumping and firming the skin. One is not a replacement for the other and in fact, dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections are often used in conjunction with each other for best results.

A highly skilled practitioner can make dermal filler unnoticeable
Did you know that a highly skilled practitioner can make dermal fillers look so natural that nobody would ever know that you’ve had them done? Here at Pellis Medispa we are experts at enhancing your looks subtly and naturally. Instead of others noticing their dermal filler, our patients often get compliments about how well-rested and youthful they look.
Choose your professional injector wisely
A big fear for many patients is that dermal filler will alter their appearance and make them look ‘done.” Television, movies and magazines depict many famous people who look much different after undergoing cosmetic enhancement. For this reason patients may choose to avoid dermal fillers altogether than risk looking unnatural. The truth is injecting cosmetically is both an art and a science. The right cosmetic injector can make all the difference in achieving a pleasing and attractive result. Our award-winning medical professionals are not only experienced but they’re the highest-skilled injectors of dermal fillers Sydney has to offer.
“An ounce of prevention…”
The best way to prevent skin aging and losing your youthful luster is with small amounts of dermal filler placed in strategic areas of your face. While you may not need to have dermal filler treatment in Sydney in your 30’s and 40’s, you may want to consider it as preventative maintenance. Years of dermal filler research suggests that people who use injectables age better than those who don’t. When combined with additional preventive strategies such as wearing daily sunblock and following a healthy lifestyle, dermal fillers can play a major role in keeping you looking years younger than your cohorts.
Additionally, there seems to be a long-term cost savings associated with starting injectables before the skin experiences considerable sagging and wrinkles. It costs less to prevent these conditions by stimulating your own collagen than by having to reverse volume loss after it has occurred.
Dermal fillers can vary in formulation and material
While the majority of dermal fillers contain ‘natural’ water-binding molecules, others are made with calcium microspheres or other types of synthetic and semi-synthetic materials. Each type of dermal filler has its own merits and you may want to do some research before settling on a product or skin clinic that’s right for you.
If the price sounds too good to be true….
The cost of dermal fillers in Sydney ranges between $300 -$1200. Beware prices that sound too good to be true. Some of these products may be counterfeit and may not have been tested for efficacy and safety. If you see a dermal fillers Sydney price that appears too good to be true, then chances are it probably is.

Unfortunately low quality or counterfeit dermal fillers are more common than you think. Always ask to see the box and make sure the safety seal hasn’t been tampered with or is missing altogether. Alternatively, if you are worried about the possibility of counterfeit or diluted fillers, come and talk to us about our reputable dermal filler brands or using your very own Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF).

There are times when you shouldn’t have dermal filling injections

Dermal fillers are considered safe and effective; however, there are certain contraindications:

● Pregnancy
● Breastfeeding
● Battling a sinus infection
● Some auto-immune conditions (check with your doctor)
● Before undergoing a dental procedure

Ideally patients should wait until they are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding, have overcome their illness and have finished their dental work before undergoing cosmetic dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers will need to be maintained every 6-18 months
Most dermal fillers in Sydney are temporary. Over time (usually between 6-18 months) the skin will return to its original condition. If you loved your results then you’ll need to repeat the treatment once you notice the filler is wearing off. There are several factors that will determine how long your filler will last. These include the brand and type of filler that was used, that quantity of syringes injected, your own metabolism and how active your are. Athletes and people who are extremely active tend to break down their filler faster.

So, how to ensure you choose a good cosmetic injector?

Sydney has a lot of options when it comes to dermal filler injectors. Finding the right clinician, however, isn’t always as easy as doing a search on your computer. You should invest some time to find the right person for your face or body transformation. Here are
some top tips…

Always choose skill over price
While bargain shopping may work for shoes and bags, it probably isn’t a good idea to skimp when seeking out a Medispa in Sydney. To carry out cosmetic injection properly and safely, it takes both experience and skill. Here at Pellis Medispa we only use the highest quality products combined with the most advanced injection techniques and our injectors are all Registered Nurses with many years’ experience.
Word of mouth referral
Do you have any friends or relatives who have recently undergone non-surgical cosmetic facial enhancements? If they have and look great, ask them which cosmetic injector they used. A good cosmetic practitioner here in Sydney will have many repeat patients who return several times a year for treatment.
Ask questions
Don’t be shy about asking the cosmetic injector for their qualifications. What experience do they have? Where did they train? How long have they been involved in the industry? Do they have any before and after photos they could show you? Any reputable practitioner will be happy to share their credentials with you. And those who don’t? Think twice about having your treatments with them even if the price is very attractive.
